How We Developed Animation To Explain Technical Affairs
Volkswagen Malaysia
The Volkswagen Group with its headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of automobiles and commercial vehicles and the largest carmaker in Europe. Volkswagen Malaysia officially opened its doors in 2006, although the brand’s history here dates back to the 1950s when the lovable, classic Beetle first made its appearance. With more than 50,000 Volkswagen cars roaming Malaysian roads, Volkswagen continue to serve the needs of their customers by offering cars that are a delight to own, and a thrill to drive.
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia approached us to developed an explainer video to educate current customers and prospects on our technology (and to eliminate any misconception).
Our objective was to introduce the topics to the audiences, to educate the public on efforts made by brand to improve product quality and performance,
additionally reaffirming brand confidence and changing the public misconception of brand that they were facing.
The creative team at Purpose/Built achieved to create a clear communication from a complex idea in a way that educates the public about on how the gearbox, mechatronic and dual clutches work in unison to deliver exceptional driving performances while delivering extraordinary fuel economy.

The animated video has effectively broke down complex concepts into easy to understand storytelling that resonated with their consumer. With the amount of information the video had to include, animation with dynamic motion was the most effective way to visualize the issues raised while making the content engaging.
