Website Development: European Union-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce

The European Union-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (EUMCCI) is a non-profit private organization focused on promoting, supporting and developing European Union business interests in Malaysia as well as facilitating trade, commerce and investments between the EU and Malaysia. Purpose/Built was engaged by EUMCCI to deliver a ground-up website redesign that would more effectively support the execution of their mandate. EUMCCI was extremely pleased with their new corporate website design and received positive feedback about the practical database tools and ease of use.

THE INSIGHT

As the organization promoting trade with a critical global market, EUMCCI needed a strong online presence to match the importance of its role and strength of its brand. Its existing website and brand did not reflect its important position or take advantage of its identity and expertise. Careful research into the poor navigation flow and usability on the existing site helped define how the new site should operate.

THE SOLUTION

By developing user journeys and carrying out exercises to help us prioritize content types, we were able to consolidate diverse web properties into a single robust identity built on a state-of-the-art technology platform. Following numerous creative exercises and hours analyzing and poking holes in our strategy, the result is a completely scalable, flexible website with a progressive design that works seamlessly across all devices and is convenient for EUMCCI to manage on the back end.
